THE BIGGER PICTURE

A better connection starts with the room.

RF Safe’s roadmap for wired and optical connectivity, practical indoor alternatives, and the proposed Clean Ether Act.

The phone is only one part of the wireless environment. RF Safe’s Clean Ether advocacy asks a larger design question: where can communication use wires or light instead of adding more radiofrequency traffic?

Start with a wired foundation

Fiber and Ethernet provide a practical foundation for fixed devices. They let a household, classroom, or office reserve wireless connectivity for situations that genuinely need mobility.

Where Li-Fi fits

Li-Fi carries data through optical signals, using visible light or infrared depending on the system. It requires compatible transmitters and receivers; a normal phone does not automatically gain Li-Fi from an ordinary room light. Plan around real hardware, coverage, and the tasks a room needs to support.

What RF Safe advocates

RF Safe calls for indoor wired and optical connectivity, renewed long-term RF research, a reassessment of exposure limits, and changes to the rules that shape infrastructure decisions. The Clean Ether Act is an advocacy proposal, not a description of enacted law.

A case is an individual accessory. Better infrastructure is a collective project. Both conversations belong here, with clear evidence and practical next steps.
